Privacy Policy

Template — not legal advice. Have this reviewed by a lawyer, and confirmed against your actual data practices, before publishing.

1. Overview

This policy covers two separate things: (a) this website, and (b) the RD Performance Toolkit WordPress plugin, which runs on your own WordPress installation, not ours. We only ever have access to data your site owner explicitly sends us or a connected third-party service (never your site's database, user data, or content).

2. This Website

Like most websites, this site may use basic analytics (page views, referrer, approximate location from IP) to understand traffic. If a contact or newsletter form is added later, we'll only use the information you submit to respond to you or send what you signed up for — never sold to third parties.

3. The Plugin — What It Sends, and to Whom

The Plugin is built to be transparent about every outbound connection it makes:

  • Google PageSpeed Insights API — when you use the Core Web Vitals Monitor, your site's URL is sent to Google's PageSpeed Insights API to retrieve performance data. This only happens when you (or a scheduled check you enabled) triggers it. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts / Google Analytics (self-hosting features) — when enabled, these features download files from Google once and serve them from your own domain afterward, specifically to reduce ongoing requests to Google and improve your visitors' privacy compared to the default WordPress behavior.
  • Freemius — if you activate a Pro license, Freemius (our licensing and payments partner) processes your license key, purchase, and — if you opt in — basic, anonymized usage data to help us improve the product. See Freemius's Privacy Policy.

The free tier's optimization and security features (image processing, script cleanup, security hardening, SSL certificate checking) all run locally on your own server and don't send data anywhere.

4. Data We (ODealing) Directly Collect

If you contact support, we collect what you send us (name, email, message, and any details you share to help resolve your issue) to respond to you. If you purchase Pro, Freemius — not us — handles your payment details directly; we receive confirmation of the purchase and license, not your card information.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us (Section 7) to exercise these rights.

6. Data Retention

Support correspondence is kept as long as reasonably needed to resolve your issue and for a limited period afterward for quality/reference purposes. License and billing records are retained by Freemius per their own retention policy.

7. Contact

Privacy questions or data requests: odealing.com/contact.

8. Changes to This Policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes materially.
